AKG N60NC (2015) vs Mixcder E7

Analysis:

The AKG N60NC (2015) is a great Closed-Back Headphone for its $124 asking price.

The Mixcder E7, however, while a reasonable product for $49, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Closed-Back Headphones in the $35 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The AKG N60NC (2015) was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best noise cancelling headphones" roundup where it was named its "Best On-ears", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Taking a look at the Mixcder E7, it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - Head-fi and TrustedReviews - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Closed-Back Headphones, including TrustedReviews, preferred the AKG N60NC (2015) over the Mixcder E7.

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The AKG N60NC (2015) was liked best by What Hi-Fi?, which gave it a score of 10, while the Mixcder E7 got its highest, 10, score from Head-fi.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Closed-Back Headphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Closed-Back Headphones being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the AKG N60NC (2015) and Mixcder E7 managed averages of 8.8 and 8.0 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct AKG N60NC (2015) vs. Mixcder E7 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
