beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro (2015) vs Mixcder E7

Analysis:

The beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) is a relatively good Closed-Back Headphone for people that are willing to spend around $380. The Mixcder E7, by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.

In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $380 and $60 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) and Mixcder E7, however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

The beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Wired Headphones for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for Musicians and Engineers", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Mixcder E7 - it impressed reviewers at Good Housekeeping, a trustworthy source that conducts solid hands-on testing. It did great in its "The best wireless headphones you can buy" roundup - in fact, it earned its "Best cheap wireless on-ear headphones" title, which, on its own, indicates a certain level of quality.

We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Head-fi, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Mixcder E7.

Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Closed-Back Headphones received. We found that the beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) managed to earn a rating of 10 from Techradar, whereas the Mixcder E7 got its highest, 10, score from reviewers at Head-fi.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Closed-Back Headphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Closed-Back Headphones being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) and Mixcder E7 managed averages of 8.4 and 8.0 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro (2015) vs. Mixcder E7 comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
