The Nintendo Joy-Con has impressed reviewers from two sources that are among the most highly trusted on the internet, namely Tom's Guide and Laptop Mag. It did great in their objective hands-on roundups - it earned the "The best multi-purpose controller" and "Ranked 2 out of 6" awards from Tom's Guide and Laptop Mag, respectively. That's high praise from such reputable sources.
Moving on to the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Chroma (2017): it has performed really well in a handful of roundups done by reliable sources that perform their own objective testing, like PC Gamer, Popular Mechanics, and Expert Reviews - it was awarded the "The best mechanical switch controller" title by PC Gamer, "Best for Competitors" by Popular Mechanics, and "Ranked 2 out of 3" by Expert Reviews, which marks it as a worthy candidate.
We tried doing a direct Nintendo Joy-Con vs. Razer Wolverine Ultimate Chroma (2017) review score comparison but couldn't find any sources that tested both.
Next, we took a look at which sources liked them best and found that the Nintendo Joy-Con most impressed the reviewers at iMore, who gave it a score of 7, whereas the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Chroma (2017) did best in its techaeris.com review - it scored 9.1 points.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review data to compare them to their competitors. We found that the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Chroma (2017), with its 8.0 out of 10 points, got reviewed noticeably better than most of its competitors - the average Gamepad score being 7.5 - whereas the Nintendo Joy-Con performed worse, with an average of merely 7.0.
