Huawei Mate 30 (2019) vs Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019)

Analysis:

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) is a relatively good Smartphone for people that are willing to spend around $560. The Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018), by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.

In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $560 and $130 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) and Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018), however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

While the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. Notebookcheck.net, GSMArena, Expert Reviews, Digital Camera World, Techradar, AVForums, CNET, Tom's Guide, DXOMARK, Tech Advisor, Android Authority, and Android Central have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

As for the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) - it impressed reviewers at Android Central, a trustworthy source that conducts solid hands-on testing. It did great in its "Best Android Phones Under $200 in 2020" roundup - in fact, it earned its "Best Industrial Design" title, which, on its own, indicates a certain level of quality.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Smartphones, including Techradar, preferred the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) over the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018).

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) was liked best by Notebookcheck.net, which gave it a score of 8.9, while the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) got its highest, 8, score from Android Central.

Finally, we analyzed all of their review data and compared their averages to other options on the market. With an average review rating of 6.6 out of 10 points, the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) performed similarly to most of its competitors - the overall average review score for Smartphones being 7.5 - whereas the Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) performed worse than most, with its 4.7 average.

It's worth keeping in mind that a direct Huawei Mate 30 Pro (2019) vs. Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) comparison might not be entirely fair because some sources tend to ignore value for money when assigning their scores and thus often give better reviews to more expensive products.
