Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019) vs LG V30

Analysis:

While the Nokia 3.1 (2018) makes for a passable Smartphone for its asking price, the LG V30 simply doesn't make the cut and should be avoided by the majority of people. In either case, we suggest that you look into some better alternatives that cost around $280 or $370.

However, if you'd nonetheless like to find out more about the Nokia 3.1 (2018) and the LG V30, you can continue reading for our summary of what we know about them:

While the Nokia 3.1 (2018) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. Android Central, Expert Reviews, slashgear.com, Techradar, GSMArena, and Wirecutter (NYTimes) have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

As for the LG V30 - it was really well-received by reviewers at SoundGuys, a great source that's known for conducting high-quality in-depth testing. It performed great in its "Best audio products at IFA 2017: our top five" roundup and was named its "Ranked 3 out of 5", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.

We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like GSMArena and Techradar, and learned that they all showed a preference for the LG V30.

Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Smartphones received. We found that the Nokia 3.1 (2018) managed to earn a rating of 7 from Android Central, whereas the LG V30 got its highest, 9.2, score from reviewers at GSMArena.

Finally, we calculated their average review scores from all of the data we could find and compared those to Smartphones in general. It turns out that the LG V30, with its 8.0 average, got reviewed considerably better than most of its competition - the overall average for Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10 points - whereas the Nokia 3.1 (2018) performed worse than most, with an average review score of 5.7.

However, it's worth pointing out that a direct Nokia 3.1 (2018) vs. LG V30 comparison might not be entirely fair, because some sources have a tendency of not taking value for money into account when reviewing products.
