Moto G6 (2018) vs Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019)

Analysis:

The Moto G6 (2018) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Smartphone for people with a $150 budget.

The Nokia 3.1 (2018), however, is merely mediocre at its $219 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $150 and $250 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Moto G6 (2018) and Nokia 3.1 (2018), however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The Moto G6 (2018) was loved by reviewers at CNET, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best phones for Christmas gifts 2018: iPhone XR, Pixel 3, Note 9, Moto G6 for $200 and more" roundup where it was named its "Best budget Android", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the Nokia 3.1 (2018): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Android Central, Expert Reviews, slashgear.com, Techradar, GSMArena, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. Expert Reviews, Techradar, Android Central, Digitaltrends, and GSMArena, for example, preferred the Moto G6 (2018), while Lifewire rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Moto G6 (2018) got reviewed the highest by Expert Reviews - it gave it a rating of 10, while the Nokia 3.1 (2018) most impressed reviewers at Android Central, which gave it a score of 7.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Moto G6 (2018) got received considerably better than the majority of other Smartphones - it earned an average of 8.1 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.5 overall rating of other Smartphones - while the Nokia 3.1 (2018) performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 5.7.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Moto G6 (2018) vs. Nokia 3.1 (2018) comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
