Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019) vs Moto G6 (2018)

Analysis:

We couldn't find enough data on either product to be able to come to any reliable conclusions. We highly recommend that you take a look at some other options in the $280 and $65 budget ranges instead.

While the Nokia 3.1 (2018) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. Notebookcheck.net, Android Central, Techradar, slashgear.com, PCmag, and GSMArena have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

Returning to the Moto G6 (2018), CNET, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Super affordable with a great battery" in its "Best AT&T phones of 2021: Apple, Samsung and more compared" roundup, which is quite a feat.

We analyzed all of the review data that we could find on these two Smartphones. First, we examined sources that tested and scored both of these products - Techradar, Notebookcheck.net, Digitaltrends, PCmag, GSMArena, and finder.com.au favored the Moto G6 (2018) over the Nokia 3.1 (2018), whereas reviewers at Android Central haven't shown a preference for either.

Then we took a look at which sources liked them the most - we found that the Nokia 3.1 (2018) was best received by Notebookcheck.net - it gave it a score of 8.1, whereas the Moto G6 (2018) got its highest score of 10 from reviewers at Expert Reviews.

Finally, we calculated their average review scores from all of the data we could find and compared those to Smartphones in general. It turns out that the Moto G6 (2018), with its 8.0 average, got reviewed considerably better than most of its competition - the overall average for Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10 points - whereas the Nokia 3.1 (2018) performed worse than most, with an average review score of 6.2.

However, it's worth pointing out that a direct Nokia 3.1 (2018) vs. Moto G6 (2018) comparison might not be entirely fair, because some sources have a tendency of not taking value for money into account when reviewing products.
