Nokia 6.2 (2019) vs Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019)

Analysis:

The Nokia 6.2 (2019) is a relatively good Smartphone for people that are willing to spend around $210. The Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018), by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.

In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $210 and $130 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Nokia 6.2 (2019) and Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018), however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

The Nokia 6.2 (2019) was loved by reviewers at Wirecutter (NYTimes), a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Budget Android Phones" roundup where it was named its "Top Pick", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) analysis - it impressed reviewers at Android Central, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "Best Android Phones Under $200 in 2020" roundup and earned the "Best Industrial Design" title.

We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Android Central, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018).

Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Smartphones received. We found that the Nokia 6.2 (2019) managed to earn a rating of 7.8 from Notebookcheck.net, whereas the Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) got its highest, 8, score from reviewers at Android Central.

Finally, we compared them to other Smartphones on the market and found that the two of them got reviewed similarly to the majority of their competitors. The overall average review score for Smartphones in general is 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Nokia 6.2 (2019) and Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) managed averages of 6.7 and 6.6 points, respectively.

It should be noted that it might not be entirely fair to do a direct Nokia 6.2 (2019) vs. Nokia 3.1 Plus (2018) comparison due to the difference in their pricing; some sources have a tendency to review more premium products better than more affordable ones.
