Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) vs Nokia 3.1 (2018/2019)

Analysis:

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) is a great Smartphone for its $534 asking price.

The Nokia 3.1 (2018), however, is merely passable at its $219 price point. If you're considering buying a Smartphone in the $240 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) was loved by reviewers at Tom's Guide, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best used smartphones 2020" roundup where it was named its "One of the most premium phones at an unbeatable price", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the Nokia 3.1 (2018): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Android Central, Expert Reviews, slashgear.com, Techradar, GSMArena, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Smartphones, including Lifewire, GSMArena, Techradar, Android Central, Digitaltrends, and slashgear.com, preferred the Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) over the Nokia 3.1 (2018).

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) was liked best by What Hi-Fi?, which gave it a score of 10, while the Nokia 3.1 (2018) got its highest, 7, score from Android Central.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) got received considerably better than the majority of other Smartphones - it earned an average of 8.8 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.5 overall rating of other Smartphones - while the Nokia 3.1 (2018) performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 5.7.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Samsung Galaxy Note9 (2018) vs. Nokia 3.1 (2018) comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
