Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020) vs OnePlus 6 (2018)

Analysis:

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020) has managed to impress reviewers from two reliable and objective sources that conduct their own testing, namely creativebloq.com and Phandroid. It did great in their roundups - it earned the "Ranked 1 out of 5" title from creativebloq.com, and "Ranked 1 out of 9" from Phandroid, which marks it as a product that's worth considering.

Taking a look at the OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018), we found that it got praised by bicycling.com and AVForums - two sources that are known for their high-quality in-depth testing. The OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018) was named "Best Android" by bicycling.com and "Best Smartphone Under £500 2018" by AVForums in their respective Smartphone roundups; that suggests that it's a product that's worth considering.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Smartphones, GSMArena and Android Authority preferred the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020), whereas reviewers at PhoneArena, Tom's Guide, Techradar, slashgear.com, and TechSpot liked the OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018) better. Digital Camera World, PCmag, T3, and Digitaltrends gave them identical review scores.

We also took a look at which sources liked these products best - the highest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020) rating came from Laptop Mag, whereas the OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018) most impressed reviewers at musicphotolife.com; they earned scores of 9 and 10, respectively.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020) and OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018) managed averages of 8.4 and 8.7 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 (2020) vs. OnePlus 6T McLaren (2018) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
