Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) vs PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid
The Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) makes for an outstanding Mechanical Keyboard at $199. The PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid, however, while overall a good product for its asking price, doesn't quite manage to stand out from its competition - there are better Mechanical Keyboards that can be found for around $330 available here.
The Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) was loved by reviewers at Rtings, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The 7 Best RGB Keyboards - Winter 2021" roundup where it was named its "Best Full-Size RGB Keyboard", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.
Returning to the PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid, PCmag, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Best for Minimalists, Programmers, Fans of Topre Key Switches" in its "The Best Mechanical Keyboards for 2021" roundup, which is quite a feat.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Mechanical Keyboards, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) got its highest, 10, rating from Windows Central, while the PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid earned its best, 8, score from PCmag.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Mechanical Keyboards on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Mechanical Keyboards being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) and PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid managed averages of 8.6 and 8.0 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Steelseries Apex Pro (2019) vs. PFU Happy Hacking Professional 3 Hybrid comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
