Logitech G502 Hero (2018) vs Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016)

Analysis:

The Logitech G502 Hero (2018) and Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016) make for very strong choices and are great Gaming Mice for their respective $46 and $42 asking prices. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, either of these options will serve you well.

The Logitech G502 Hero (2018) was loved by reviewers at Wirecutter, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Wired Gaming Mouse" roundup where it was named its "Also great", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016), it managed to impress reviewers from some of the internet's most highly trusted sources, Wirecutter and Tom's Guide. It performed great in their hands-on roundups - it was named "Top Pick" by Wirecutter and "Ranked 3 out of 6" by Tom's Guide. That's quite an achievement, especially coming from such high-quality sources.

We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like GamingScan, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016).

Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Gaming Mice received. We found that the Logitech G502 Hero (2018) managed to earn a rating of 9 from PCWorld, whereas the Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016) got its highest, 9.5, score from reviewers at TechSpot.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Gaming Mice on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Gaming Mice being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Logitech G502 Hero (2018) and Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016) managed averages of 8.4 and 8.6 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Logitech G502 Hero (2018) vs. Razer DeathAdder Elite (2016) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
