The HyperX Cloud II (2015) makes for an outstanding Gaming Headset at its $80 price point. The Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016), however, while a good product overall, doesn't really manage to stand out from its competition.

The HyperX Cloud II (2015) got praised by Rtings and Digital Camera World - two highly trusted sources that perform in-depth hands-on testing. It was awarded the "Most Durable Budget Gaming Headset" title from Rtings and "Ranked 1 out of 8" from Digital Camera World in their respective Gaming Headset roundups.

As for the Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016) analysis - it impressed reviewers at reviewsfire.com, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "The Best Gaming Headsets for UNDER £100" roundup and earned the "Ranked 3 out of 5" title.

For a direct HyperX Cloud II (2015) vs. Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016) comparison, we took a look at sources that tested both and found that the HyperX Cloud II (2015) got reviewed better by Rtings, whereas the reviewers at Tom's Guide preferred the Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016). Reviewers at TrustedReviews and PCmag haven't shown a preference for either.

We also took a look at which sources liked these two products the most. We found that the HyperX Cloud II (2015) received its best, 10, rating from appuals.com, while the Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016) got its highest score of 9 from TrustedReviews.

Finally, we also compared their review scores to the rest of their competition - the HyperX Cloud II (2015) earned an average review score of 8.5 out of 10 points and the Razer Kraken Pro V2 (2016) received an average of 7.6, compared to the 7.2 average of Gaming Headsets in general.
