AfterShokz Aeropex vs RHA T20 (2015)
The AfterShokz Aeropex is a great Earphone for its $154 asking price.
The RHA T20 (2015), however, is merely passable at its $254 price point. If you're considering buying a Earphone in the $250 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.
The AfterShokz Aeropex has done great in quite a few roundups from some of the most highly trusted sources available, such as CNET, SoundGuys, Rtings, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), which perform high-quality in-depth testing. It got awarded the "Best bone-conduction headphones" title by CNET, "Best Bone Conduction" by SoundGuys, and "Best Wireless Earbuds For Running Outdoors" by Rtings in their respective roundups. Earning that much praise from such respected sources is undoubtedly an impressive accomplishment.
Moving on to the RHA T20 (2015): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Head-fi, Techradar, SoundGuys, HomeTheaterReview.com, What Hi-Fi?, PCmag, Headfonics, Audioholics, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Techradar, and learned that they all showed a preference for the RHA T20 (2015).
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Earphones received. We found that the AfterShokz Aeropex managed to earn a rating of 9 from Android Central, whereas the RHA T20 (2015) got its highest, 10, score from reviewers at Head-fi.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Earphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Earphones being 7.3 out of 10, whereas the AfterShokz Aeropex and RHA T20 (2015) managed averages of 7.7 and 8.6 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct AfterShokz Aeropex vs. RHA T20 (2015) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
