Shure SE215 vs RHA T20 (2015)

Analysis:

The Shure SE215 is a relatively good Earphone for people that are willing to spend around $90. The RHA T20 (2015), by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.

In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $90 and $250 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Shure SE215 and RHA T20 (2015), however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

The Shure SE215 was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best headphones for ASMR" roundup where it was named its "Best In-Ears", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Moving on to the RHA T20 (2015): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Head-fi, Techradar, SoundGuys, HomeTheaterReview.com, What Hi-Fi?, PCmag, Headfonics, Audioholics, and Wirecutter (NYTimes), enough for them to include them on those lists.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Earphones, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Shure SE215 got its highest, 6.1, rating from Rtings, while the RHA T20 (2015) earned its best, 10, score from Head-fi.

Finally, we calculated their average review scores from all of the data we could find and compared those to Earphones in general. It turns out that the RHA T20 (2015), with its 8.6 average, got reviewed considerably better than most of its competition - the overall average for Earphones being 7.3 out of 10 points - whereas the Shure SE215 performed worse than most, with an average review score of 6.1.

However, it's worth pointing out that a direct Shure SE215 vs. RHA T20 (2015) comparison might not be entirely fair, because some sources have a tendency of not taking value for money into account when reviewing products.
