Crucial P1 Series SSDs vs Samsung 850 PRO Series SSDs
We couldn't find enough data on either product to be able to come to any reliable conclusions. We highly recommend that you take a look at some other options instead.
The Crucial SSD P1 1TB managed to earn a spot in roundups from two sources that are known for their trustworthy review methodology - Tom's Hardware and PCmag - but fell short of making it to the top of their lists.
Moving on to the Samsung 850 Pro 1TB: it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like TechSpot, TrustedReviews, techadvisor.com, hardwarezone.com.sg, and PCmag, enough for them to include them on those lists.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like PCmag, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Samsung 850 Pro 1TB.
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Internal SSDs received. We found that the Crucial SSD P1 1TB managed to earn a rating of 8 from Tom's Hardware, whereas the Samsung 850 Pro 1TB got its highest, 9.1, score from reviewers at TechSpot.
Lastly, in order to better compare them to the rest of their competition, we averaged out their review scores. The Samsung 850 Pro 1TB managed to get 8.6 out of 10 - considerably better than the 7.8 review average of Internal SSDs in general - whereas the Crucial SSD P1 1TB earned 7.0 points.
It should be said that doing a direct Crucial SSD P1 1TB vs. Samsung 850 Pro 1TB comparison might not be entirely fair due to the difference in their prices - some sources don't put much weight on value for money and thus tend to give better review scores to more expensive products.
