Adata SX6000 Pro Series SSDs vs Samsung 860 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Adata SX6000 512GB is a great Internal SSD for its $67 asking price.

The Samsung SSD 860 Pro 1TB, however, while a reasonable product for $299, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Internal SSDs in the $370 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The Adata SX6000 512GB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best PCI Express NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs) for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for M.2 Value Seekers", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for our analysis of the Samsung SSD 860 Pro 1TB - it's considered to be a great product by two reliable sources that do their own hands-on testing - it earned the "Best Prosumer SATA SSD" award from Tom's Hardware and "The best SATA SSD is cheaper than you think" from Techradar, which is no small feat.

We examined all of the review data that we could find and first took a look at sources that reviewed both of them, like PCmag, and found that they haven't shown a preference for either product.

Then we checked which sources liked these two Internal SSDs best and found that the Adata SX6000 512GB got its highest, 8, review score from reviewers at Expert Reviews, whereas the Samsung SSD 860 Pro 1TB earned its best score of 9 from Techradar.

Finally, we analyzed all of their review data and compared their averages to other options on the market. With an average review rating of 7.8 out of 10 points, the Samsung SSD 860 Pro 1TB performed similarly to most of its competitors - the overall average review score for Internal SSDs being 7.8 - whereas the Adata SX6000 512GB performed worse than most, with its 6.5 average.

It's worth keeping in mind that a direct Adata SX6000 512GB vs. Samsung SSD 860 Pro 1TB comparison might not be entirely fair because some sources tend to ignore value for money when assigning their scores and thus often give better reviews to more expensive products.
