Adata SU750 Series SSDs vs Samsung 960 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Adata SU750 512GB and Samsung SSD 960 Pro 1TB make for very strong choices and are great Internal SSDs for their respective $59 and $359 asking prices. Depending on how much you're willing to spend, either of these options will serve you well.

The Adata SU750 512GB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Cheap SSDs for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for SATA Value-to-Performance Seekers", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the Samsung SSD 960 Pro 1TB, Laptop Mag, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Best High-Performance SSD" in its "Best Laptop SSDs - Internal & External Hard Drive Upgrades" roundup, which is quite a feat.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Internal SSDs, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Adata SU750 512GB got its highest, 8, rating from PCmag, while the Samsung SSD 960 Pro 1TB earned its best, 10, score from Expert Reviews.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to the rest of their competition, we averaged out their review scores. The Samsung SSD 960 Pro 1TB managed to get 9.1 out of 10 - considerably better than the 7.8 review average of Internal SSDs in general - whereas the Adata SU750 512GB earned 7.0 points.

It should be said that doing a direct Adata SU750 512GB vs. Samsung SSD 960 Pro 1TB comparison might not be entirely fair due to the difference in their prices - some sources don't put much weight on value for money and thus tend to give better review scores to more expensive products.
