Samsung 970 EVO Series SSDs vs Adata SX6000 Pro Series SSDs

Analysis:

The Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB is a great Internal SSD for its $99 asking price.

The Adata SX6000 256GB, on the other hand, is not worth its $43 price tag and should be avoided by most people. We strongly suggest that you take a look at some better alternatives if you're considering spending around $45 on a Internal SSD.

The Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best Cheap SSDs for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for Cash-Conscious Creative Professionals", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Adata SX6000 256GB, it wasn't able to earn a top spot in any roundups from trusted sources that conduct their own hands-on testing. Nevertheless, it managed to impress reviewers at Expert Reviews, PCmag, and Tom's Hardware enough to make it onto their respective shortlists.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Internal SSDs, including PCmag, PCGamesN, and Tom's Hardware, preferred the Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB over the Adata SX6000 256GB.

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB was liked best by Techradar, which gave it a score of 10, while the Adata SX6000 256GB got its highest, 8, score from Expert Reviews.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB got received considerably better than the majority of other Internal SSDs - it earned an average of 8.1 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.8 overall rating of other Internal SSDs - while the Adata SX6000 256GB performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 6.4.

It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Samsung SSD 970 EVO 500GB vs. Adata SX6000 256GB comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
