Samsung Galaxy S7 (2016) vs Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019)

Analysis:

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) is a great Smartphone for its $379 asking price.

The Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019), however, is merely passable at its $153 price point. If you're considering buying a Smartphone in the $140 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.

While the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. Techradar, Expert Reviews, TechSpot, GSMArena, Android Authority, CNET, TrustedReviews, PhoneArena, PCmag, Tom's Guide, and DXOMARK have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.

Taking a look at the Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019), it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - Expert Reviews and Notebookcheck.net - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Smartphones, including Expert Reviews, preferred the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) over the Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019).

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) was liked best by T3, which gave it a score of 10, while the Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019) got its highest, 8, score from Expert Reviews.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Smartphones on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Smartphones being 7.5 out of 10, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) and Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019) managed averages of 9.0 and 7.8 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) vs. Samsung Galaxy A10 (2019) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
