Taking a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note8 (2017), we found that it impressed reviewers from many sources with a history of conducting objective hands-on testing, such as GadgetMatch, slashgear.com, PCWorld, Android Central, Reviewed, and Gear Patrol. It performed great in their roundups - it was dubbed "Best Productivity" by GadgetMatch, "Best in productivity" by slashgear.com, and "Best premium phone" by PCWorld; quite an achievement.

For a direct Google Pixel 4 (2019) vs. the Samsung Galaxy Note8 (2017) comparison, we first examined sources that tested and scored both. Most of them, including techadvisor.com, T3, What Hi-Fi?, TrustedReviews, Techradar, slashgear.com, Notebookcheck.net, CNET, TechSpot, The Verge, and Android Central, have found the Samsung Galaxy Note8 (2017) to be the better product, while PCmag, PhoneArena, Digitaltrends, Expert Reviews, itpro.co.uk, and WIRED rated both equally.
