Analysis:
The SanDisk Extreme microSD A2 256GB was highly praised by reviewers from numerous sources that perform their own objective hands-on testing, including MakeUseOf, Popular Mechanics, Windows Central, shotkit.com, and iMore. It did great in their roundups - it was dubbed "Best value" by MakeUseOf, "Ranked 1 out of 10" by Popular Mechanics, and "Ranked 1 out of 2" by Windows Central. That alone makes it at least worth considering.
Moving on to the Samsung Evo Plus microSD 64GB: it was well-received by reviewers from numerous sources that perform their own objective hands-on testing, including techadvisor.com, reviewgeek.com, Android Central, Techradar, iMore, and Android Authority. It did great in their roundups - it was named "Best speed for mobile" by techadvisor.com, "Best Storage Options" by reviewgeek.com, and "Some extra storage is great no matter which Samsung phone or Gear VR headset you're using. Samsung just happens to offer the best value for microSD." by Android Central. That alone points toward it being worthy of consideration.
We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these MicroSD Cards, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.
We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the SanDisk Extreme microSD A2 256GB got its highest, 9, rating from PCmag, while the Samsung Evo Plus microSD 64GB earned its best, 10, score from camerajabber.com.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the SanDisk Extreme microSD A2 256GB, with its 8.5 average, performed considerably better than most MicroSD Cards - the mean score for the product category being 7.2 out of 10 - while the Samsung Evo Plus microSD 64GB managed an average of 10.0.
There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct SanDisk Extreme microSD A2 256GB vs. Samsung Evo Plus microSD 64GB review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
