Sennheiser HD 598 (2010) vs Skullcandy Crusher (2016)

Analysis:

The Sennheiser HD 598 (2010) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Over-Ear Headphone for people with a $340 budget.

The Skullcandy Crusher Wireless (2016), however, is merely mediocre at its $148 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $340 and $130 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Sennheiser HD 598 (2010) and Skullcandy Crusher Wireless (2016), however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

Android Authority, a source known for its hands-on testing and objective methodology, had good things to say about the Sennheiser HD 598 (2010). It performed great in its "Best Samsung Galaxy S10 wired and wireless headphones" roundup and earned the "Best comfort" title.

As for the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless (2016) - it was really well-received by reviewers at Rtings, a great source that's known for conducting high-quality in-depth testing. It performed great in its "The 6 Best Bass Headphones - Fall 2020" roundup and was named its "Best Headphones With Powerful Bass", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Sennheiser HD 598 (2010), with its 7.8 average, performed considerably better than most Over-Ear Headphones - the mean score for the product category being 7.5 out of 10 - while the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless (2016) managed an average of 7.4.

There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Sennheiser HD 598 (2010) vs. Skullcandy Crusher Wireless (2016) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
