The Dyson V8 Absolute has impressed reviewers from two sources that are among the most highly trusted on the internet, namely Rtings and Wirecutter. It did great in their objective hands-on roundups - it earned the "Best Budget Dyson Vacuum" and "Ranked 1 out of 3" awards from Rtings and Wirecutter, respectively. That's high praise from such reputable sources.
Returning to the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum (HV301), it managed to impress reviewers from two sources that are considered to be some of the most highly trusted on the internet, thanks to their in-depth hands-on testing - CNET and Your Best Digs. It performed great in their respective Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner roundups - it was named "Best midrange corded car vacuum" by CNET and "Ranked 1 out of 8" by Your Best Digs. That's quite an endorsement, especially coming from such high-quality sources.
We tried doing a direct Dyson V8 Absolute vs. Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum (HV301) review score comparison but couldn't find any sources that tested both.
Next, we took a look at which sources liked them best and found that the Dyson V8 Absolute most impressed the reviewers at T3, who gave it a score of 10, whereas the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum (HV301) did best in its CNET review - it scored 7.4 points.
Lastly, we compared their review averages and found that the Dyson V8 Absolute did much better than the majority of its competitors, with an average review score of 9.6 out of 10, compared to the 8.0 overall average of Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaners in general, whereas the Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Corded Bagless Vacuum (HV301) hasn't managed to perform quite as well, with an average rating of 7.4.
