Shure SE112 (2014) vs Grado GR10e (2015)

Analysis:

The Shure SE112 (2014) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Canal Earphone for people with a $45 budget.

The Grado GR10e (2015), however, is merely mediocre at its $399 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $45 and $330 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Shure SE112 (2014) and Grado GR10e (2015), however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The Shure SE112 (2014) was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best earbuds under $50 of 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best Sound", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Taking a look at the Grado GR10e (2015), we found that it hasn't managed to perform well enough to earn a spot in any Canal Earphone roundups done by sources that conduct their own, high-quality, hands-on testing. That alone makes it difficult to recommend.

Lastly, we tried to do a direct Shure SE112 (2014) vs. Grado GR10e (2015) comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the Grado GR10e (2015).

Compared to all other Canal Earphones on the market, however, the Shure SE112 (2014) performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 7.8 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.4 review average of Canal Earphones in general.
