Shure SE112 (2014) vs Sony WI-C600N

Analysis:

The Shure SE112 (2014) makes for a good, if unremarkable, Earphone for people with a $45 budget.

The Sony WI-C600N, however, is merely mediocre at its $98 asking price, when compared to similarly priced products, and won't satisfy the needs of most people.

In either case, we suggest that you first take a look at some other options at the $45 and $100 price points before committing to one of these - it's likely that you'll be able to find some better alternatives.

If you're still interested in learning more about the Shure SE112 (2014) and Sony WI-C600N, however, we wrote a summary of what we could find about them:

The Shure SE112 (2014) was loved by reviewers at SoundGuys, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best earbuds under $50 of 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best Sound", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Sony WI-C600N - Rtings, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its Sony WI-C600N Wireless Headphones Review roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.

We couldn't find any sources that tested both of these Earphones, so we only analyzed how they performed in reviews from different sites.

We first examined which sources rated each of these best and found that the Shure SE112 (2014) got its highest, 9, rating from AVForums, while the Sony WI-C600N earned its best, 7, score from Rtings.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Shure SE112 (2014), with its 7.8 average, performed considerably better than most Earphones - the mean score for the product category being 7.3 out of 10 - while the Sony WI-C600N managed an average of 7.0.

There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Shure SE112 (2014) vs. Sony WI-C600N review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
