The Kingston KC2000 250GB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best PCI Express NVMe Solid State Drives (SSDs) for 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for Budget Upgraders", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the SK hynix Gold S31 500GB, PCmag, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Best for Gamers" in its "The Best Internal SSDs for 2020" roundup, which is quite a feat.

Out of the sources that tested and rated both of these Internal SSDs, PCmag preferred the Kingston KC2000 250GB, whereas reviewers at Tom's Hardware liked the SK hynix Gold S31 500GB better. PCWorld gave them identical review scores.
