Analysis:

The SK hynix Gold S31 500GB is a great Internal SSD for its $45 asking price.

The Silicon Power P34A80 1TB, however, while a reasonable product for $132, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well. If you're considering Internal SSDs in the $150 range, you might want to check out some better options.

The SK hynix Gold S31 500GB was loved by reviewers at PCmag, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The Best SSDs for Upgrading Your Laptop in 2020" roundup where it was named its "Best for Budget Gamers Seeking a SATA Drive", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the Silicon Power P34A80 1TB - it impressed reviewers at Tom's Hardware, a trustworthy source that conducts solid hands-on testing. It did great in its "Best SSDs 2020: From Budget SATA to Blazing-Fast NVMe" roundup - in fact, it earned its "Best 1TB (or Larger) Value M.2 SSD" title, which, on its own, indicates a certain level of quality.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Internal SSDs, including Tom's Hardware, preferred the SK hynix Gold S31 500GB over the Silicon Power P34A80 1TB.

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The SK hynix Gold S31 500GB was liked best by PCWorld, which gave it a score of 9, while the Silicon Power P34A80 1TB got its highest, 8, score from Tom's Hardware.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Internal SSDs on the market.
