Vizio P-Series (2018) vs Sony 800 series (2019)
While the Vizio P-Series 75" (2018) wasn't able to make it to the very top of any roundups from sources that perform quality hands-on testing, it still got featured in a large number of them. HomeTheaterReview.com, CNET, Tom's Guide, Techradar, Rtings, and PCmag have all deemed it worthy of a place on their respective shortlists.
Taking a look at the Sony X800 75" (2019), it got featured in roundups from two reliable sources that conduct their own testing - Rtings and Android Authority - but it fell short of earning a top spot in either.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both TVs, including Rtings, preferred the Vizio P-Series 75" (2018) over the Sony X800 75" (2019).
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Vizio P-Series 75" (2018) was liked best by HomeTheaterReview.com, which gave it a score of 9, while the Sony X800 75" (2019) got its highest, 6.6, score from Rtings.
Lastly, in order to better compare them to their competition, we averaged out their review scores and found that the Vizio P-Series 75" (2018) got received considerably better than the majority of other TVs - it earned an average of 7.8 out of 10 points, compared to the 7.7 overall rating of other TVs - while the Sony X800 75" (2019) performed worse than most of its competitors, with its average review score of 6.6.
It's worth keeping in mind, however, that a direct Vizio P-Series 75" (2018) vs. Sony X800 75" (2019) comparison might not be realistic since they're priced differently and some sources have a tendency to review more expensive products better than cheaper ones.
