Razer Nari (2018) vs Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016)

Analysis:

The Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1) is a great Gaming Headset for its $128 asking price.

The Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016), on the other hand, is not worth its $289 price tag and should be avoided by most people. We strongly suggest that you take a look at some better alternatives if you're considering spending around $260 on a Gaming Headset.

The Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1) has done great in a couple of roundups conducted by highly trusted sources that perform objective in-depth testing, like CNET, PCmag, and SoundGuys - it earned the "Best wireless with haptic feedback" title from CNET, "Best for Going Wireless on a Budget" from PCmag, and "Ranked 2 out of 5" from SoundGuys. Any product that's held in high regard by such reliable sources should be considered by anyone that's looking for a Gaming Headset at this price point.

As for the Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016) analysis - it impressed reviewers at Techradar, a source that's known for its objective testing and well-thought-out methodology - it performed great in its "The 10 best PC peripherals to get your game on this Christmas" roundup and earned the "Ranked 1 out of 10" title.

We analyzed all of the review data that we could find on these two Gaming Headsets. First, we examined sources that tested and scored both of these products - PCmag and TechSpot favored the Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016) over the Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1), whereas reviewers at Windows Central haven't shown a preference for either.

Then we took a look at which sources liked them the most - we found that the Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1) was best received by PC Gamer - it gave it a score of 9.3, whereas the Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016) got its highest score of 9 from reviewers at PCmag.

Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Gaming Headsets on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Gaming Headsets being 7.2 out of 10, whereas the Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1) and Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016) managed averages of 8.0 and 8.8 points, respectively.

Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct Razer Nari Ultimate (RZ04-02670100-R3U1) vs. Steelseries Arctis 7 (2016) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
