TP-Link RE AC2600 Plug-In (2017) vs GALAWAY G1208 (2018)

The TP-Link RE650 is widely considered to be a great Wi-Fi Extender at its $100 budget. The GALAWAY G1208 (2018), however, while also a good product at this price point, doesn't stack up against its competitors quite as well.

The TP-Link RE650 was loved by reviewers at Tom's Guide, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "The best Wi-Fi extenders in 2021" roundup where it was named its "Best Wi-Fi extender overall", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the GALAWAY G1208 (2018), TechGearLab, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "A Wall Plug Model with Two Ethernet Ports" in its "Best WiFi Extender" roundup, which is quite a feat.

Lastly, we tried to do a direct TP-Link RE650 vs. GALAWAY G1208 (2018) comparison of review ratings between these two products, but couldn't find any review scores for the GALAWAY G1208 (2018).

Compared to all other Wi-Fi Extenders on the market, however, the TP-Link RE650 performed great. When averaged out, it earned a rating of 8.0 out of 10, which is much better than the 7.1 review average of Wi-Fi Extenders in general.
