Tribit XSound Go (2017) vs JBL Xtreme 2

Analysis:

The Tribit XSound Go (2017) is one of the very best Portable Bluetooth Speakers that one can get for around $35. The JBL Xtreme 2, however, while a very good choice at its $170 price point, falls just short of being remarkable.

The Tribit XSound Go (2017) has done great in quite a few roundups from some of the most highly trusted sources available, such as TechGearLab, Wirecutter (NYTimes), Wirecutter, and Tom's Guide, which perform high-quality in-depth testing. It got awarded the "Best Buy on a Shoestring Budget" title by TechGearLab, "Budget pick" by Wirecutter (NYTimes), and "Budget pick" by Wirecutter in their respective roundups. Earning that much praise from such respected sources is undoubtedly an impressive accomplishment.

Returning to the JBL Xtreme 2 - it was really well-received by reviewers at Wirecutter and Wirecutter (NYTimes), which are among the most highly trusted sources on the internet and are known for their in-depth hands-on testing. It was named "Upgrade pick" by Wirecutter and "Upgrade pick" by Wirecutter (NYTimes), which points toward the JBL Xtreme 2 being a high-quality product.

When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Portable Bluetooth Speakers, including CNET, preferred the Tribit XSound Go (2017) over the JBL Xtreme 2.

We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Tribit XSound Go (2017) was liked best by Techradar, which gave it a score of 9, while the JBL Xtreme 2 got its highest, 10, score from What Hi-Fi?.

Lastly, in order to better compare them to the rest of their competition, we averaged out their review scores. The JBL Xtreme 2 managed to get 8.4 out of 10 - considerably better than the 7.6 review average of Portable Bluetooth Speakers in general - whereas the Tribit XSound Go (2017) earned 7.6 points.

It should be said that doing a direct Tribit XSound Go (2017) vs. JBL Xtreme 2 comparison might not be entirely fair due to the difference in their prices - some sources don't put much weight on value for money and thus tend to give better review scores to more expensive products.
