Vizio M-Series Quantum TVs (2019) vs Sony Z Series TVs (2018)
Two highly trusted sources that perform well-thought-out in-depth testing consider the Vizio M-Series Quantum 43" to be a great product - it earned the "The best Vizio TV brings P-Series performance to the M-Series range" title from Tom's Guide and "Second-best TV for the money" from CNET in their respective TV roundups, which is a good indication of it being a notable product.
Moving on to the Sony Z9 75" (2018): it was unable to reach the very top of any roundups from sources that conduct reliable and unbiased testing. Nonetheless, it still managed to impress reviewers from a number of such sites, like Rtings, PCmag, What Hi-Fi?, Techradar, and TrustedReviews, enough for them to include them on those lists.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Rtings and PCmag, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Sony Z9 75" (2018).
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two TVs received. We found that the Vizio M-Series Quantum 43" managed to earn a rating of 9 from soundandvision.com, whereas the Sony Z9 75" (2018) got its highest, 8.1, score from reviewers at Rtings.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Vizio M-Series Quantum 43", with its 7.9 average, performed considerably better than most TVs - the mean score for the product category being 7.7 out of 10 - while the Sony Z9 75" (2018) managed an average of 7.7.
There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Vizio M-Series Quantum 43" vs. Sony Z9 75" (2018) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
