Analysis:

While the Intel Optane SSD 900P U.2 280GB makes for a fairly good Internal SSD for people with a $440 budget, we weren't able to find enough data on the Western Digital SSD Black SN750 250GB to come to any reliable conclusions.

In either case, we suggest that you look at some other options before committing to one of these.

If you'd nonetheless like to learn more about the Intel Optane SSD 900P U.2 280GB and Western Digital SSD Black SN750 250GB, however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:

The Intel Optane SSD 900P U.2 280GB was loved by reviewers at Tom's Hardware, a trustworthy source that performs objective hands-on testing. It did great in their "Best SSDs 2020: From Budget SATA to Blazing-Fast NVMe" roundup - in fact, they named it their "Best Low-Capacity Add-in-Card SSD". That, by itself, points toward it being a noteworthy Internal SSD.

As for the Western Digital SSD Black SN750 250GB - it was really well-received by reviewers at PCmag, a great source that's known for conducting high-quality in-depth testing. It performed great in its "The Best SSDs for Upgrading Your Laptop in 2020" roundup and was named its "Best for Hardcore Gamers, Media Editors", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.

We examined all of the review data that we could find and first took a look at sources that reviewed both of them, like PCWorld and PCmag, and found that they haven't shown a preference for either product.
