The JBL Pulse 3 was loved by reviewers at Consumer Reports, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best Wireless Speakers for Dorm-Room Style" roundup where it was named its "Ranked 1 out of 4", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

As for the XLeader A8 (2017) - The Sleep Judge, a source that conducts reliable hands-on testing, has featured it in its Best Bedroom Speakers roundup. However, it didn't make it to any of the top spots.
