The Google Pixel 3a (2019) is a great Smartphone for its $332 asking price.
The ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020), however, is merely passable at its $499 price point. If you're considering buying a Smartphone in the $450 range, you might want to check out some of its competitors.
The Google Pixel 3a (2019) has done remarkably well in a large number of roundups done by reliable sources that perform their own hands-on testing, such as Android Central, CNET, Windows Central, PCmag, PCWorld, and Digital Camera World. It earned numerous awards - "Top Pick" from Android Central, "Cheaper Pixel 3 with same great camera" from CNET, and "Best Budget Android" from Windows Central.
As for the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020), it was really well-received by reviewers at PCmag, a reliable source that's known for conducting its own, high-quality, in-depth testing. It performed great in its "The Best Chinese Phones" roundup and was named its "Best for 5G Fans", which, on its own, makes it a product that warrants a closer look.
When we thoroughly analyzed their review scores, we learned that all of the sources that tested both Smartphones, including Tom's Guide, PCmag, and Digitaltrends, preferred the Google Pixel 3a (2019) over the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020).
We also took a look at which sources they managed to impress the most. The Google Pixel 3a (2019) was liked best by Expert Reviews, which gave it a score of 10, while the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) got its highest, 8, score from Android Central.
Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Google Pixel 3a (2019), with its 8.6 average, performed considerably better than most Smartphones - the mean score for the product category being 7.5 out of 10 - while the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) managed an average of 7.3.
There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Google Pixel 3a (2019) vs. ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
