Moto G7 (2019) vs ZTE Axon (2019)

The Moto G7 Plus (2019) was loved by reviewers at CNET, a highly trusted source that performs reliable in-depth testing. It did great in its "Best prepaid phones of 2021" roundup where it was named its "Best budget smartphone gets better", which, in itself, makes it a product worth considering.

Returning to the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020), PCmag, a source that's known for its high-quality in-depth testing, has great things to say about it. In fact, it was named its "Best for 5G Fans" in its "The Best Chinese Phones" roundup, which is quite a feat.

To get a better idea of how they fare when compared directly to each other, we analyzed review scores of sources that tested both. Digitaltrends, for example, preferred the Moto G7 Plus (2019), while Android Central and PCmag rated both of them the same.

We also took a look at which sources had the best things to say about them. We learned that the Moto G7 Plus (2019) got reviewed the highest by Tech Advisor - it gave it a rating of 10, while the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) most impressed reviewers at Android Central, which gave it a score of 8.

Lastly, we averaged out all of their review ratings and observed that the Moto G7 Plus (2019), with its 8.1 average, performed considerably better than most Smartphones - the mean score for the product category being 7.5 out of 10 - while the ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) managed an average of 7.3.

There's one caveat here - it might not be entirely justifiable to do a direct Moto G7 Plus (2019) vs. ZTE Axon 10 Pro (2020) review average comparison since they aren't priced the same and more expensive products tend to get higher review scores from some sources.
