TP-Link Archer AX6000 vs Zyxel Multy X (2017)
The TP-Link Archer AX6000 is a great Wi-Fi Router for its $189 asking price.
The Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), on the other hand, is not worth its $422 price tag and should be avoided by most people. We strongly suggest that you take a look at some better alternatives if you're considering spending around $370 on a Wi-Fi Router.
The TP-Link Archer AX6000 has managed to impress reviewers from some of the most highly trusted sources on the internet, including Tom's Guide and Tom's Hardware. It performed great in their in-depth hands-on roundups - it was awarded the "The best value-priced Wi-Fi 6 router" title by Tom's Guide and "Best Non-Gaming Specific Router" by Tom's Hardware in their respective Wi-Fi Router roundups. That's high praise, especially when coming from such high-quality sources.
As for the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), it wasn't able to earn a top spot in any roundups from trusted sources that conduct their own hands-on testing. Nevertheless, it managed to impress reviewers at Expert Reviews, CNET, and PCmag enough to make it onto their respective shortlists.
We analyzed all of the review data that we could find on these two Wi-Fi Routers. First, we examined sources that tested and scored both of these products - Expert Reviews favored the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) over the TP-Link Archer AX6000, whereas reviewers at PCmag haven't shown a preference for either.
Then we took a look at which sources liked them the most - we found that the TP-Link Archer AX6000 was best received by approvedmodems.org - it gave it a score of 9.2, whereas the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) got its highest score of 10 from reviewers at Expert Reviews.
Lastly, we averaged out all of the reviews scores that we could find on these two products and compared them to other Wi-Fi Routers on the market. We learned that both of them performed far better than most of their competitors - the overall review average earned by Wi-Fi Routers being 7.4 out of 10, whereas the TP-Link Archer AX6000 and Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) managed averages of 8.4 and 8.2 points, respectively.
Due to the difference in their prices, however, it's important to keep in mind that a direct TP-Link Archer AX6000 vs. Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) comparison might not be entirely fair - some sources don't take value for money into account when assigning their scores and therefore have a tendency to rate more premium products better.
