TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N vs Zyxel Multy X (2017)
The TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N is a relatively good Wi-Fi Router for people that are willing to spend around $25. The Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), by contrast, is quite unremarkable and doesn't stand out in any meaningful way from other products at this price point.
In both cases, however, we recommend that you take look at some other options at the $25 and $380 budget ranges; in all likelihood you'll find some better alternatives.
If you're still interested in learning more about the TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N and Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), however, we wrote a summary of what we know about them:
The TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N was loved by reviewers at reviewsfire.com, a trustworthy source that performs objective hands-on testing. It did great in their "The 5 BEST Routers for VPNs 2019" roundup - in fact, they named it their "Ranked 2 out of 5". That, by itself, points toward it being a noteworthy Wi-Fi Router.
As for the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), it wasn't able to earn a top spot in any roundups from trusted sources that conduct their own hands-on testing. Nevertheless, it managed to impress reviewers at Expert Reviews, CNET, and PCmag enough to make it onto their respective shortlists.
We conducted an analysis of all of the review data that we could find on these two products. First, we focused on sources that tested and rated both of them, like Expert Reviews and CNET, and learned that they all showed a preference for the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017).
Then we took a look at the highest review scores that these two Wi-Fi Routers received. We found that the TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N managed to earn a rating of 7 from CNET, whereas the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) got its highest, 10, score from reviewers at Expert Reviews.
Finally, we calculated their average review scores from all of the data we could find and compared those to Wi-Fi Routers in general. It turns out that the Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017), with its 8.2 average, got reviewed considerably better than most of its competition - the overall average for Wi-Fi Routers being 7.4 out of 10 points - whereas the TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N performed worse than most, with an average review score of 5.5.
However, it's worth pointing out that a direct TP-Link N300 TL-WR841N vs. Zyxel Multy X WSQ50 (2017) comparison might not be entirely fair, because some sources have a tendency of not taking value for money into account when reviewing products.
