You are members of a Resistance, trying to take down a corrupt government...but there are spies among your group. You need to go on missions to overthrow the government, but you need to make sure you don't put any spies on the missions or else they'll fail.
Can you figure out who the spies are - or if you're a spy, gain the trust of the Resistance members?
Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pro No one excluded until the end
All players remain active until the game ends (which isn't the case in Mafia game for example).
Pro Unlimited replayability
While there is little variation game-to-game (there's always going to be 2 spies when 5 or 6 people play the game, the mission sizes are always the same for the same group size...), it's the circumstances that change each time which allow it to be played over and over and over again without losing any excitement.
Pro Great for medium-sized get-togethers
While The Resistance is able to be played with 5-10 players, it turns out best when played with 6 or more players. It engages the players and forces them to work together to see who the spies are.
Pro Very entertaining
People are often loud and very active and the game thrives for that.
Pro Social game
The game is more about being able to bluff and convince than pure logic (even though logic is very useful especially about probabilities).
