Workaround: Start menu --> Search and open "Services" --> Find "Windows Font Service" --> Right-click and select "Stop". Stop as many times as required
Last update was on Nov 25th, 2022; that's a little over a year from now. Previous update to that was in 2021. I wouldn't call development stopped, but it IS slow to update.
This flag should be removed. I'm a consumer of this software and it is excellent. It should be top of list here.
apart from my basic image manipulation programs MainType is my most important productivity tool for graphics. I even use it for building-up and polishing better word-processor documents.

Hello! This doesn't seem to be happening for most people. If more people come forward saying they also experienced this, I'll remove the flag and update the CON.
Hey Dennis! Can you explain a bit about what you mean by "have a font?" I'm a little lost on that.
Comment moved from @zipcode: Although paying for upgrades on an app is something I'm not against, but this is literally half the price of one that's already high.
@zipcode, I edited this con down to exclude any first person references. In order to keep things editable by all users a third person objective description is best.
Agreed, this is a nice feature to have, especially when it actually works. However, I tend to disable this unless I really need it, while mostly depending on the type of project I'm working on. I usually leave it disabled and use it more as a toggle switch for temporarily use. I've experienced issues with increasing the load on the system resources as well as apps, such as browsers display, messing up with the type.
