Things may have improved more recently, but my experience of Windows Installer installations was always that they were slow and more prone to breaking if there were any OS issues on the customer's machine. I went through quite a few iterations of Installshield and other big-name MSI creators before finally trying Inno on the recommendations of people in the ASP (Association of Software Professionals). I've been using it for some years now and truly haven't had any support issues arising from it.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I guess there's a reason InnoSetup has won awards.
I did not know that there are issues with MSI files. Mind saying what are those issues?
