Atomic package management without bloated init/supervision systems
For those with a clear focused concept of what is wanted, after building, the build can be replicated in a blink on countless machines. Both GUIX and shephard are complex but also a breath of fresh air.

Difficult to use conda package manager for Python with it
Conda is a preeminent package manager if you want to do anything with Python, but it is difficult to install it in this distro. But soon they would find a way to do all that within nixos itself.

Most settings just work
Isolation and well-made defaults means for most systems changes there's a simple flag to switch and it will work with everything you've got.

Not easily configurable
As in nixos, you can't just have a list of packages and then be ready to do whatever you want. If you are reinstalling it you got to painfully reinstall stuffone ata time manually. bash scripts help but only so much. Some other alternatives to the apt package manager like apt, snap are too install bulky versions of the same programs while trying to alleviate the above problem.
