•••
Selective notifications
You can personalize which notifications get passed along from your phone to the ring, or just set it so that only texts and calls get sent.

Con
•••
Bulky
While functional, the DOI SmartRing is too bulky for most people. It is large, yet still has a screen too small to view notifications in a convenient way.

•••
Touchscreen
To view other notifications, you can swipe on the screen either way to see the next icon.

Con
•••
1 day battery life
The DOI will need to be charged daily, as the display takes up a lot of power for such a small battery.

Notifications on your finger
When you get a notification on your phone, the ring will vibrate, and the display will show the icon of the app. It will also count how many notifications have been missed from each app, and any important text will scroll along.

•••
Small
Measuring 8mm wide and 2.3mm thick, the Eclipse isn't much bigger than a regular ring.

Con
•••
No notification support
The Eclipse doesn't sync to your phone at all, and it lacks a screen as well. It won't show the time, or any notifications.

Pro
•••
2 X 888 bytes of storage
The Eclipse uses two NFC tags - one on the inside and one on the outside. Each chip can store 888 bytes - enough for a URL or contact information. There is also enough storage to contain an unlock code, so they can also unlock smart door locks if they support NFC unlocking.

•••
1cm activation distance
The NFC chip used in the Eclipse is NTAG216, which can be read at a distance up to 1cm. This ensures that even low power readers, or readers inside a case (such as a phone) will still be able to read the ring.
