The display produces an image that's comparable to TVs in the $1500 - $2000 price range and it costs $1,198.00.
Pro Good overall image quality
The display produces quality image, especially considering the price. There's little motion blur with a response time of 14.6ms and overshoot of 0ms, little lag with a delay of 29.5 ms, it plays 24p movies judder-free, it has great contrast of 4404:1 with blacks all the way down to 0.023 cd/m2 and white up to 101.3 cd/m2, colors are reasonably accurate and can be improved with calibration. It's good for movies, sports and games.
Con Poor local dimming
Local dimming practically does not work. It dims the whole image, including the bright spots, and there are blooming issues with bright spots.
Con Sound gets distorted at higher volumes
The sound is accurate at low volumes, slight distortion is noticeable at medium volumes and high amounts of distortion at high volumes.
Con Poor gray uniformity
The sides of the TV are darker than the rest of the display with it getting even worse in corners.
Con Privacy issues
Vizio TVs track usage information and sell it along with users IP to third parties. While you choose not to be tracked, the feature is turned on by default.
