Vivid results when scanning photos
With a maximum optical resolution of 4800 x 4800 dpi(dots per inch), this model is designed to scan and capture high resolution photos and documents - you can expect to get very vivid results. Compared to other competitors' models, the colors of your scanned images look more like the original document. If you wish to scan a photo, you have an additional option to restore the color and remove the dust to enhance the image. This makes the scanned photo more clear and life-like.

Quick scanning
The Canon LIDE 220 is a fairly fast scanner, even at higher resolutions. Scan quality or resolution is measured in dpi - dots per inch. It takes more time to scan at higher resolutions. According to ExpertReviews, it takes 15 seconds to scan a A4 document at 150 dpi and 18 seconds to scan the same document at 300dpi. Scanning a 6 x 4 inch photo at 600 dpi takes 21 seconds, at 1,200 dpi it takes 68 seconds. These are very decent speeds for such high-quality scans.

It doesn't take up a lot of space in the office, since it measures only 250 x 365 x 39 mm. It takes even less tablespace in upright position using the removable stand.
