The tread is very thick and durable. It grips on well to slippery surfaces, making them a good option for trails/hiking.

Great sandals in wet environments, including being submerged in water.

The straps are adjustable in 4 different places for a snug and supportive fit.

There is velcro in 5 different places which isn't the most durable. It sometimes begins to peel off after a short period of time.
