Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pro Great customer service
There is a person in contact with all customers via email and phone to make sure customers are kept informed of the status of their orders.
Pro High quality, fresh produce
There's no grocery store middleman, the produce is shipped farm-to-household. Since the products are local and delivery is next-day, it's very fresh.
Pro Clean website UI
The site, in typical bay area startup fashion, is well-designed and easy to use.
Con Pictures are not always representative of the products
One example, the sunflowers on the website are in full bloom. The actual delivered product may be a bunch of sunflower bulbs on stems that have yet to bloom at all. The produce does generally match their picture depictions, however.
Con Occasional logistics issues
Shipments are occasionally delayed, gift messages are occasionally forgotten, but any issues that are reported to the customer service will get sorted out quickly.
Since these products are coming directly from the farms, there's no way to compare prices between what the farms are charging and what Good Eggs is charging. In general, every product is at least a $1 more expensive than at Whole Foods, which is already on the pricey side.
