Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pro Semi-compact, ergonomic design
The TKL (ten-keyless) design doesn't include the number pad (which is a pro for some, yet a con for others). This makes the board more portable as it is about 20% shorter. It is also more ergonomic when using a mouse - instead of reaching way over to the right (for right handed users), you can have the mouse closer to your center-field of view.
Pro Choice of Cherry MX switch
You can purchase this board with a wide range of switches - the link above is for Cherry MX Browns (tactile bump), but green (heavier blue), red (linear), and blue (clicky) are also available.
Pro High build quality
This keyboard is manufactured by Costar, one of the most respected OEMs.
Pro Great cable solution
Not only is the cable detachable, but it has cable routing as well. If you want, you can swap out the included braided cable for a longer/shorter/different coloured one that suits your setup better. Also, if you brake the cable (or your pet does), it's cheap to get a new one and very easy to do.
Cable routing helps organize your cables in a more pleasing way. Instead of having the cord come right out the middle of the back, you can have it go on either side of the back which can help make your setup look cleaner.
Pro High quality mechanical key switches
The CM Storm QuickFire Rapid uses genuine Cherry MX keyswitches which are the most common and generally considered the best switches available for keyboards. This means a few things:
First, the durability and quality testing are top notch. LinusTechTips took a tour there, and was extremely impressed. They go through vigorous testing, and are the highest quality keyswitches available.
Second, because they're standard Cherry MX switches, they are interchangeable with custom keycaps. Down the road, if you prefer you can get your own custom keycaps which totally change the look of your board. From a minimalist design like this to a custom image like this, or even different shaped keys like this you can modify them to your hearts content.
Pro Great feeling keys
The keys have a slight concave indentation on them, helping fingers find the center of the keys - keeping your hands aligned. They are textured matte a little bit, helping fingers not slip away.
Con No number pad
While a pro for some and a con for others, this keyboard doesn't have a number pad. It is a poor choice for anybody who often enters numbers into their computer.
Con Lacking features
Con Short key travel
With only 3.3mm of key travel, regular typists will notice how shallow the keystrokes are. Typically boards have 4mm of travel.
