Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pros
Pro Cable that connects to motherboard for settings
There is an included communications cable with this that allows the power supply to communicate with the motherboard in order to use an app on the PC to control its settings. This can be convenient for those that would like to tweak how their power supply runs.
Pro Extremely efficient
This power supply will provide power at about $.15 a kWh. When considering other power supplies may not be as efficient, in the long run this one could save the user money.
Pro Runs cool
Due to the large design this power supply never gets too hot, unlike a smaller one that would be hitting its max more often. This means no worry of adding too much heat to one's case.
Cons
Con Not the best cables
The included cables are flat (not sleeved, making running them a pain) not all that great considering the price of this unit, for nicer sleeved ones it will cost and extra $100, which really puts the price range for total quality components out of most peoples reach or want.
Con Included software for controls is poor
The included software is pretty poorly designed, little is explained in the app leaving the user looking for solutions online.
Con Unable to achieve full 1500w on 110v circuit
While this power supply is advertised and named for being able to achieve a full 1500 watts, this is only able to be done if used with a 220v house circuit, which is not used in the US. In the US 110v is used, which means this power supply will only be able to achieve 1300 watts.
