Ranked in these QuestionsQuestion Ranking
Pros
Pro Self-hosted
The application is self-hosted, so you don't have to pay someone external for hosting and maintaining a vital service. Additionally, data privacy doesn't become a terrible headache.
Pro Free and open source
frab is a free and open source software, so you don't have to pay to use it - which is often important for smaller organizations - and it is relatively easy to modify.
Cons
Con No integrations
In a time where every service has countless integrations with various other services, frab doesn't even notify admins of activities in the system; the only mails it sends are to speakers regarding the Call for Papers and proposal acceptance.
If you want to export to Lanyrd, have some kind of Slack/Messaging integration or what hove you, you'll not be satisfied (as of February 2017) - unless you submit patches, of course.
Con Self-hosted
You'll have to install, administrate, maintain and update the software yourself.
